Mr. Le Thanh Kinh

Mr. Le Thanh Kinh has over 30 years of experience in legal practice. Prior to the establishment of Law & HR Consulting in 1996, which is the former Le Nguyen Law Firm, he worked as a detective for the Investigation Unit of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department. He is the founder and manager of Le Nguyen Law Firm whose head office is in Ho Chi Minh City and its branch in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Can Tho.

In the past 30 years, Mr. Kinh has provided legal advice and assisted many clients in a wide range of legal practices: Commercial Law, Law on Enterprise, Law on Investment, Real Estate Business Law, Law of Marriage and Family, Criminal Code, etc. Some of them had marked  milestones in his dedicated practice career.

In 2000, Mr. Kinh represented Kyunggi Silk (Korea) Ltd., in the first recognition and enforcement of a foreign arbitral award in Vietnam against VISERI – a major State Company.

In 2005, Mr. Kinh represented British former rock star Gary Glitter, who was charged with child molestation by Vietnamese authorities. Mr. Kinh has acted in a wide range of criminal proceedings and has been highly successful in resolving many criminal cases for foreign individuals.

For many years, Mr. Kinh and Le Nguyen Law Firm have been awarded “Lawyer of the Year” and “Law Firm of the Year”.

Besides practicing as a lawyer, Mr. Kinh is also an Arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (“VIAC”), one of the most long-standing and reputable arbitration centres in Vietnam.

Mr. Kinh is currently trusted by the Judiciary Institute with the organizing and teaching of the lawyer training programme and he also lectures in annual training courses of the Bar Associations in different provinces. He has been a sponsor and lecturer on various legal topics at training institutions, and provides legal training courses for organizations and businesses nationwide. Mr. Kinh and his Partners in Le Nguyen put their their effort to build a professional workplace environment, where the team fosters the next generation of lawyers with both technical skills and practical experience.

Mr. Kinh is also an expert in drafting commercial contracts and participating in drafting and editing specialized legal guidance materials; collaborating and writing articles for newspapers and magazines such as Saigon Economic Times, Vietnam Law Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper, etc.; participating in interviews for various legal topics on the Vietnam National Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television and other provinces’ channels.
