Ms. Le Nguyen Minh Chau Senior Associate

Ms. Minh Chau is a qualified Vietnamese lawyer, a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and a qualified Australian lawyer of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. She also practices at the federal level in the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Australia and a member of the Asian – Australian Lawyers’ Association.

Ms Minh Chau has a Law LLB (Honours) degree from University of Exeter, United Kingdom in 2014 and a Master Degree in Global Media Communications from University of Melbourne, Australia in 2019. In 2018, she was awarded a Certificate from Masaryk University (Czech Republic) in International Relations and Threats to Global Security.

For over 15 years, Ms. Minh Chau has been living and working in three continents for multiple domestic and international law firms, including some of the world’s largest firms such as the UK “Magic Circle” firms and law firms with headquarters in the US, Australia and Hong Kong, where her areas of expertise lie in all aspects of corporate and commercial, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, finance and banking, and project finance. She has worked on some of the most significant landmark transactions in Vietnam, such as advising VietJet Air on its groundbreaking IPO – one of Vietnam’s biggest IPO to date, and advised various international institutions such as Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Bank of China.

Since 2020, she focuses on migration and civil litigation practice in Victoria, working at all tribunal and court level, from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to the Supreme Court across all Australian states. With her comprehensive expertise in the laws of UK, Australia and Vietnam, she is able to advise in both Vietnamese and English. Based on her extensive international experience working in cross-border matters, Ms. Minh Chau is an expert in providing comprehensive immigration solution and legal strategies in business operation and investment for Australian and Vietnamese investors.

Ms. Minh Chau is also a speaker at multiple national and international events and forums. She has lectured on English Trust Law and English Criminal Law at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Dispute Resolution in International Transactions at the Saigon International University. She has also lectured on a large range of topics including: company law, legal English and legal skills. Ms. Minh Chau is also the founder of Justitia – a legal English project that supports hundreds of law students and young experts on the path of international integration. She is the co-author of the Lawyers’ Handbook – one of the most comprehensive guides for legal practice in Vietnam.
